Writing Crime Fiction

Celebrated crime fiction novelist Dorothy Johnston, author of The Swan Island Connection and Through A Camel’s Eye, is fresh from delivering a workshop on writing crime fiction at the Ballarat Writer’s Festival. Before that, however, she had the chance to catch up with ABC’s Gavin McGrath. Check out the interview below, and many thanks to the ABC for having Dorothy along.

Check out Dorothy’s work by clicking the links above (you can even grab a free audio teaser right now), or you can read last week’s blog – half of a brand new crime short story from Dorothy. Don’t worry, the second part is coming next week. Dorothy’s shared her new short story, partly inspired by our own short story writing competition. Have you got your entry in yet?
