At For Pity Sake, we believe in writers! This October, we’re launching a new project to give local authors of poetry and short stories a chance to showcase their work. The For Pity Sake writing competition is a new endeavour from our boutique publishing house that aims to encourage and support authors of all shapes and sizes to explore their creative potential and earn acclaim for their works.
The competition opens on the 1st of October, with all entries to be submitted by midnight on the 15th of November. We will be accepting submissions of short stories up to 2,000 words in length, and poetry up to 140 lines. All submissions must adhere to the theme, which, in honour of this new endeavour by For Pity Sake Publishing, is New Beginnings.
